Today I am beyond excited to be introducing you to the gorgeous Claire Baker who's behind the deliciously good This is Lifeblood. I've long been an admirer of Claire's blog, but it wasn't until we officially connected through our studies at Integrative Nutrition, that I discovered just how incredible this passionate, creative + soulful woman is.
What I love most about Claire is her infectious zest for life and how she truly shows up being her most authentic + real self.
She's rockin' her beautiful life in every sense: she's a certified health coach, writer + yoga teacher in-training with a supercharged mission to live a nourishing, spiritual life full of exploration, self expression, healing and authentic joy.

+ What does being 'healthy" mean to you?
Healthy to me is being in tune with our natural state. Health really shouldn't be something we achieve - it's more aligning ourselves with our default. Being healthy is just being!
To take it more literally though, being healthy means (mostly) eating a balanced whole foods diet, staying active, maintaining strong and uplifting relationships, doing work that gets you all fired up (in the best kind of way) and of course - connecting authentically with yourself and your true desires.
+ Most fun + favourite way to workout?
This year has been all about yoga for me! I've taken my once-a-week practice to 3-4 times a week and it's changing my body, lifestyle and mental attitude big time. Nothing more fun than a class of backbends and handstands!
+ Fave healthy dish or recipe you're loving lately?
Love my Raw Rainbow Tacos! So light, cleansing and fresh. Perfect go-to-meal as the weather starts to warm up. Throw some fresh prawns or organic chicken mince into them too for some extra animal protein (if you so desire).
Last book you read that inspired you?
I have to mention two here. Most recently was The Big Leap by Gay Hendrix which really got me thinking about self sabotage and breaking through comfort zones, but the last book that drip-fed inspiration into my veins for the week that I devoured it was Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed. Holy crap. Read it.
+ How do you reconnect with you?
Inhale. Exhale. Journal. Yoga. Pan-fried salmon, asparagus, mashed sweet potato and 85% dark chocolate. A long walk. Drawing. Wayne's World 1 & 2 marathon.

+ Fill in the blank: I wish I knew _____ when I was just starting to carve out my beautiful life.
That there is truly no destination. It's a journey which encompasses grateful, mindful, conscious living some days and difficult, frustrating, ego-driven days the next. It's a path of regular recommitment and realignment - but its worth it.
