Yowza, can you believe we’re in March already? 2015 is flying by at a frantic pace, that’s for sure!

To me, March signals the year is really getting into ‘business mode’ - the silly season is well and truly over; Summer is coming to an end, and we’re settling into the groove of 2015.

I'm super excited to let you know the doors to my brand new eCourse Make it Happen, open next week (get on the list to be first to know), which is all about motivating and inspiring you to drop the excuses and bring those big dreams to life. And to celebrate I am officially declaring this month Make it Happen March and will be dedicating posts on the blog + Instagram to helping you get those ideas out of your head and turn them into reality.

Given it’s the start of a new month, now is the time to assess where you are and make any adjustments if you need to.

The truth is, things don’t always go to plan, but the good news is that it’s not too late to start; or if you’ve had to shift gears it may be time to check-in on your progress so far and see if anything needs to be tweaked.

Regardless of where you are, NOW is the perfect time to start.

And to kick things off, today I want to share with you my simple fool-proof formula to creating kick-ass goals that stick:

1. Dream Big.

Part of choosing the right goals to chase involves stepping out of your comfort zone and pushing yourself, challenging you to stretch that bit further. But at the same time, you don't want to make them so out of reach that you’re not motivated to even try - balance is key!

If it scares you and gives you butterflies thinking about it - that is a good thing! Go with the butterfly feeling.

2. Be specific.

For a goal to be achievable it must be as specific as possible. There is no point creating goals that are fluffy or ambiguous, so be super clear on what it is you want to achieve. Having the goal of launching an eBook is great, but make it specific by saying what the eBook is called and what the outline of the book is…Which leads me to my next point...

3. Set a deadline.

All goals need to have a deadline, otherwise it is nothing more than a dream. Make it tangible and keep yourself accountable so you reach your goal!

4. Write it down + look at it everyday.

Writing down your goal makes it tangible and actionable. There is no point creating a goal only to have it forgotten the next week, which is why it is critical that you review your goal every single day. This is to keep you motivated so you know what action you need to take each day that is going to get you where you need to be.

5. Embrace your obstacles.

Nothing worth having was easy to come by - work hard, and take small steps everyday. I like to frame it this way: challenges are there to make you really question how badly you want it, because the reality is that anything worth having doesn’t come easily: it involves hard work, determination and persistence.

Don’t give up + keep going no matter what!

6. Start now.

The truth is that there is no perfect time to start and each day you delay means you’re just putting off your dream. So start now. Don’t wait until tomorrow, next week or next month - now is the perfect time to say ‘yes’ to your dream.
