The single most important question to ask yourself

Things are good right now. I am happy, content and for the first time in a long time, I feel truly fulfilled, doing work I love. I am quite literally, following my bliss + I can't begin to describe how amazing it feels.

Don't get me wrong, I am actually busier than I have ever been between my freelance clients and trying to launch my new biz. Things are in no way "smooth sailing" - but I'm hardly complaining. In fact, I'm thriving, and enjoying the challenges being thrown at me, forcing me to grow and expand, well out of my comfort zone.

I didn't realise quite how far I had come until someone I've only recently met remarked:  "Wow, you're an over-achiever with endless motivation!" .... and thought to myself...well, I guess for someone meeting me for the first time, they would think that about me; but the truth is that it's taken me a long, long time to get here and things have definitely NOT always been this way.

This time last year, I was stuck living with my parents; in a job I was terribly unhappy in and I was not at all in a good state of mind. I had just started to turn the corner, but I was in no means in a happy place and still faced many 'dark days'.

And now, as I'm preparing to unleash my business baby out into the world, I can't help but look back and feel immensely proud of myself for making the choice to chase after the kind of life I want to live.

And the choice all comes down to one simple question :: are you willing to choose love over fear?

Are you going to settle for the easy, well-trodden + comfortable path or will you choose to do what, deep down, you know you are capable of achieving?

Forget what other people are doing, thinking or saying. Don't compare yourself to anyone else. Run your own race.

Believe in yourself. You are here for a reason + capable of amazing things.

But these things take time. They certainly don't happen overnight and there will be so many hurdles you need to jump over before you get to where you want to be.

And when you do finally get there....You will notice your dreams have shifted and you've gained a new perspective as you find yourself planning for the next chapter of your journey.

Take a moment today to reflect on just how far you have come from a year ago. What have you learned? How have you changed? Are you where you want to be right now? If not, what can you do today that will help push you in the right direction?

Much love, Rachel xx
